Our Mission

“Te Eastside Neighborhood Association 2.0 exists to improve our quality of life, foster the diversity of our community, and promote the advantages of living in our neighborhood. We are a group of volunteer residents working together to make Paterson a better place.”

Our History

The Eastside Neighborhood Association was founded in 1979 by a dedicated group of homeowners committed to maintaining the stability and historic integrity of one of Paterson’s most treasured neighborhoods. For over four decades, ESNA has been a voice for residents, an advocate for preservation, and a catalyst for community connection.

In recent years, ESNA 2.0 emerged with renewed vision and energy, embracing the organization’s historic mission while expanding to meet the needs of a new generation of residents. Today, we continue the legacy of those founding members while creating new traditions that bring our diverse community together.

The Eastside Park Historic District

The Eastside Park Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 7, 2004. Our neighborhood features approximately 1,000 homes spanning a remarkable range of architectural styles, including Tudors, Georgian Colonials, Victorians, Italianate villas, and Dutch Colonials.
