About ESNA 2.0
Mission Statement
Eastside Neighborhood Association 2.0 (ESNA 2.0) through the improvement of our quality of life, fostering the diversity of our community and to promote the advantages of living in our Neighborhood. ESNA 2.0 is a group of volunteer residents who want to improve and make a better Paterson.
A. To such ends, the ESNA 2.0 shall focus on:
- The prevention of the deterioration and preservation of housing in accordance with the City’s “Rl” (single-family) zoning as it relates to conversion(s) of property;
- Addressing incidents of home abandonment and violations of city laws and regulations;
- Addressing neighborhood crime, loitering, and illegal activity;
- Publicizing and marketing the neighborhood and its historic homes and/or unique homes to potential residents;
- Educating property owners to recognize the heritage of our homes, and preserving, repairing and restoring them;
- Beautifying and promoting the use and safety of Eastside Park and other parks in the Neighborhood; and
- Advocating on behalf of the Neighborhood as one entity for the common good of the Neighborhood and the City at large.
- Create social and neighborhood activities to build morale.
B. ESNA 2.0 is intended as a not-for-profit community organization, but is not a must since ESNA 2.0 is not a total fundraising entity.
- Who the association serves (neighborhood name/boundaries)
ESNA 2.0 serves the area bounded by East 33rd Street (Vreeland Avenue) to the west, McLean Boulevard/NJ Route 20 to the east and north, and 20th Avenue to the south, in the City of Paterson (the “City”), County of Passaic, State of New Jersey (“the Neighborhood”) The Neighborhood lies on both sides of Broadway within these boundaries and encompasses the section called the Manor Section on the north of Broadway and the Eastside Park Section on the south side of Broadway.
